Journey with One Another:
Small Group Leader Resources

The small group is about two things: first, learning (I mean LEARNING) to love each other and, second, journeying together on the road of change, the road of discipleship.

The small group leader’s job description is to facilitate the two processes.

  • Facilitate relationship building between the members: Talk to each other. Know each other. Do things together.

  • Facilitate an atmosphere where members learn from each other and help each other change: become disciples.

Jesus named both aspects, love each other and become disciples, in one statement: By this all men will know that you are my (Christ’s) disciples, if you love one another. John 13:34-35

We get there together. And here’s what the journey looks like:

Be in harmony with one another

Submit to one another

Don't judge one another

Accept one another

Comfort one another
