1. Briefly (200-300 words) describe how you came to have a personal relationship with Christ.
2. Describe your present Bible reading habits.
3. We offer you holistic discipleship. “Holistic” means we will encourage and correct each other to follow Jesus fully in every area of our life – on the mountain trail, at work, in our spending, in the kitchen, or playing volleyball. Describe your response to correction from peers, an employer, or a leader?
4. Describe your attitude toward making personal changes in order to align your life with the Bible's teachings? Include a recent change you've made.
5. Summer Job Project integrates personal discipleship into your work, community building, mountain adventures, witness, and Bible studies. Will you fully and willingly participate in all aspects of the Summer Job Project program?
6. Are you willing to develop a summer budget and strive to live within it?
7. Are you willing to be financially accountable and improve your money management skills?
8. Will you make yourself accountable for meeting with God regularly to read the Bible and pray?
9. Will you agree to abstain from sex, drugs, gambling, tobacco (all forms), pornography, and alcohol for the entire duration of the Summer Job Project including days off?
Community
1. Describe how you would demonstrate love for the other residents by your words, actions, and attitudes.
2. What personal strengths would you bring to the other residents?
3. With God's help, what weaknesses would you work to overcome through living in the XA House community?
4. We have a No Dating Policy for the duration of the summer program. That means refrain from showing special attention to one person over others of the opposite gender. Refrain from physical or verbal expressions of romantic attraction. We want you to focus on the experiences of the program without distraction. (This policy does not apply to someone you are already dating now outside the program.) Will you agree to the No Dating Policy?
5. What is your definition of a clean kitchen? Clean bathroom? Clean common living areas?
6. Will you complete your assigned chores in the XA House with a good attitude?
7. Will you gratefully eat evening meals provided and refrain from grumbling? (We do our best to offer simple, tasty, nutritious meals.)
